PARTENER – Young People from Cahul and Leova for Participation, Responsibility and Cooperation in Local Governance

The project aims to strengthen civic participation among young people from Cahul Municipality and Leova District by developing their capacity to engage in decision-making processes and promoting dialogue between youth, youth organizations, and local public authorities. Throughout the project, 40 young people will participate in training sessions on civic participation and advocacy, practical workshops on analyzing and monitoring local budgets allocated to youth, as well as joint activities that encourage cooperation and the exchange of experience between the two communities.

The project will equip young people with the knowledge and skills needed to understand local decision-making processes, use advocacy and budget monitoring tools, and develop evidence-based recommendations for improving youth policies. In addition, two budget monitoring reports will be prepared and presented, contributing to greater transparency and accountability in the management of public funds allocated to the youth sector.

By strengthening cooperation between youth organizations and local public authorities, the project will establish a sustainable framework for partnership, encouraging the active and informed participation of young people in the development of the Cahul and Leova communities while promoting more open, participatory, and inclusive local governance.
