Workshops for Migrants and Refugees Focused on Integration and Civic Participation
Title: Workshops for Migrants and Refugees Focused on Integration and Civic Participation
AO “Pas cu Pas regiunea Sud”, in partnership with the Cahul Municipality, organized two workshops for migrants and refugees focused on identifying real integration challenges and developing practical community-based solutions.
Analyzing Challenges and Developing Solutions
During the first day, participants worked with the “Problem Tree” and “Solution Tree” methods, examining the causes and effects of difficulties encountered during the integration process.
Based on these discussions, participants developed clear and realistic proposals that can be promoted to relevant institutions in order to improve integration conditions within the community.
Advocacy and Civic Participation
The second day focused on advocacy and civic participation. Participants received practical guidance on how identified problems and proposed solutions can be submitted to responsible authorities and organizations.
Discussions covered opportunities for cooperation with the Cahul Municipality, social services, educational institutions and non-governmental organizations.
The activities included group work, simulations and the preparation of sample official requests.
We thank all participants for their engagement, openness and valuable contributions throughout the two-day programme.
These workshops were organized within the project “Inclusion and Solidarity: Supporting the Integration of Migrants and Refugees into Local Communities”, funded by the European Union, contracted by ICMPD through the Migration Partnership Facility (MPF), and implemented in cooperation with People in Need Moldova.
