Continuing Youth Engagement: Training Sessions in Leova on Local and National Decision-Making Processes
On April 3 and 7, 2026, AO “Pas cu Pas regiunea Sud” organized two training sessions for young people in Leova on the topics “Participation in Local Decision-Making Processes” and “Participation in National Decision-Making Processes”.
The activities provided participants with a comprehensive understanding of how decision-making processes function at both local and national levels.
Topics Covered During the Training Sessions
During the trainings, participants explored:
- how decisions are adopted;
- public participation mechanisms;
- the role of institutions;
- ways of active involvement in society.
Through interactive methods, simulations and teamwork, participants developed practical skills and gained a better understanding of how they can contribute to positive changes within their communities.
The training sessions in Leova build upon previous activities carried out in Cahul and contribute to the creation of a network of active and responsible young people.
The activities are implemented within the project “PARTENER – Youth from Cahul and Leova for Participation, Responsibility and Cooperation in Local Governance”, carried out by AO “Pas cu Pas regiunea Sud” under the grant program “Empowering Women and Youth”.
We thank the Leova Youth Center for its cooperation and support.
This project is funded by the European Union and co-funded by Sweden. It is implemented by the East Europe Foundation in partnership with the National Youth Council of Moldova, the Partnership for Development Center and the Regional Development Agency of Tiraspol.
