Training on Inclusive Security and Violence Prevention at the Cahul Police Inspectorate

On February 25, 2026, AO “Pas cu Pas regiunea Sud” conducted a training session at the Cahul Police Inspectorate within the project “Safer Communities through Smart Systems and Transregional Cooperation”.

The activity focused on strengthening a modern approach to inclusive security, gender-sensitive justice and violence prevention, in line with the principles of human security and rights-based interventions.

During the session, participants explored practical ways to apply the principles of inclusive security in their daily work, with particular attention to recognizing and addressing the specific needs of vulnerable groups.

Discussions also covered the gender perspective in law enforcement, including the impact of stereotypes on situation assessment and decision-making processes, as well as effective and responsible communication with victims of gender-based violence.

Prevention, Response and Interinstitutional Cooperation

A key component of the training focused on the prevention-response continuum through the analysis of early warning signs and risk factors, clarification of response procedures and the role of interinstitutional cooperation in ensuring coordinated and effective interventions.

The activity also included a practical role-playing exercise based on a domestic violence scenario, followed by analysis, feedback and the identification of good practices.
